I’ve always thought that Gmail users were smarter and more intelligent. Looks like I may be right. According to Mashable, the latest stats show that those who use Gmail tend to earn a heck of a good amount more in income and tend to be younger. So we have the young and hip. Yahoo and Hotmail users skew more toward the lower income population and are used more by those 35+.
You’ll also find that Gmail users are more often users of Facebook than other services like MySpace. So Gmailers are a bit classier than that Yahoo-MySpace scum.

i guess it’s all to do with different generations. the 35+ users grew up with Yahoo and Hotmail or were in a work place where Yahoo and Hotmail dominated until the appearance of Google. That would explain why the Gmail users are more younger[of course if you are the younger gen you are naturally considered more hip than the oldies .. no surprise there]
